Sony Bravia 7 Review
2024SonyTV
Sony's mid range Mini LED, which is where its processing advantage does the most work for the least money.

The Bravia 7 is the model in Sony's range that makes the most sense, because the processing that justifies the brand's prices is present here and the panel behind it is good enough to show it. Local dimming is precise for a set at this price, halos around bright objects are well controlled, and the upscaling makes cable and older streaming sources look better than they have any right to.
Brightness is strong without reaching the Bravia 9 or Samsung's flagships. Gaming support is complete with 120Hz and variable refresh, and the PS5 handshake is seamless. Viewing angles are the usual VA panel weakness, so a wide room with seats off to the side will see the picture wash. It is not an OLED and does not pretend to be; in a mixed light room where an OLED would struggle and a flagship Mini LED costs too much, it is the intelligent middle.
