2025SamsungTV
Samsung's best bright room LCD, with a matte screen that kills glare and a price that invites an OLED comparison.

The QN90F is what Samsung builds when it wants an LCD to win an argument the category keeps losing. The headline is the matte coating borrowed from the quantum dot OLED line, and in a room with a window behind the sofa it is transformative: reflections become a faint gray haze instead of a mirror, and the picture stays watchable where a glossy panel simply shows you the room. Brightness is enormous, the wide angle layer means the far end of the sofa sees the same colors as the middle, and the gaming provision runs to 165Hz with variable refresh across all four inputs.
Where it falls back is where every Mini LED falls back. Blooming is controlled rather than absent, so credits and starfields carry a halo an OLED does not have, the matte finish lifts black levels slightly in a dark room, and Samsung still refuses to license Dolby Vision. At list price it costs about what a very good OLED costs, and against Samsung's own S90F in a dark room it loses that comparison outright. Buy it for a bright room and it is the best LCD on sale. Buy it for movie nights and the money belongs elsewhere.
