2024PanasonicTV
The reference OLED, back in the markets that had lost it, priced for the people who already knew.

Panasonic left several markets for years and returned with the Z95A, and the picture explains why professionals had missed it. The panel is LG's top micro lens array OLED, as bright as any conventional OLED made, and Panasonic's processing does with it what Sony does with a lesser panel: motion is immaculate, dark gradients are clean, and the colour accuracy out of the box is the closest a consumer television gets to a mastering monitor.
It supports every HDR format, which Samsung and LG each decline to do. The audio system built into the base is genuinely good, which is rare. The price is the whole objection, and it is a large one. The Z95A costs meaningfully more than an LG G4 that uses the same panel and delivers most of the same result, and the software is less polished than either LG's or Google's. It is the television for the buyer who calibrates, and an indulgence for everyone else.
