The set that made a great OLED normal, and the one every rival spent two years trying to answer.

The C2 is the television that turned an enthusiast's purchase into everyone's purchase. LG moved the brighter evo panel down from the flagship, cut the weight with a composite chassis, and left the rest of the recipe alone: perfect blacks, color that needs no calibration to look right, motion no LCD has matched, and four HDMI inputs that all run 4K at 120 with variable refresh.
Reviewers spent the year arguing about which OLED had the better tone mapping and then recommended this one anyway, because it did everything and cost less than the sets it beat. The criticisms are the familiar OLED ones. Full screen brightness still trails a good Mini LED, so a sunlit room favors a Samsung or a Hisense, and the automatic limiter dims large bright scenes in a way that draws attention to itself.
Static logos remain a small risk for anyone who leaves a news channel running all day. What settles the argument is the range. Sizes run from 42 to 83 inches, the smallest turned a desk monitor into an OLED for the first time, and within a year the 65 inch model was selling for hundreds less than launch. Years on it is still the reference point for what a mid range OLED should do.
