The UR9 is Hisense going straight at the premium establishment. It uses an RGB Mini LED backlight, lighting the panel with individually controlled red, green and blue diodes rather than a filtered white light, and Hisense quotes peak brightness up to 5,000 nits. The effect is a huge, saturated color volume held at brightness levels OLED cannot reach, the same idea behind Sony's far more expensive Bravia 9 II.

It is a properly equipped flagship. There is a 4.1.2 channel speaker system tuned by Devialet with Dolby Atmos, a 165Hz panel that pushes to 180Hz in game mode, four HDMI 2.1 inputs and Google TV. Picture quality is genuinely excellent, with bright specular highlights, deep blacks and wide gamut color that closes much of the gap to sets costing twice as much.

Pricing is the knockout. The 65 inch is 3,499 dollars, the 75 inch is 4,999 dollars, the 85 inch is 5,999 dollars and the 100 inch is 8,999 dollars, so you get near flagship RGB performance for Samsung and Sony step down money. As with any LCD it cannot match OLED for off angle viewing and shows some blooming, and Hisense's processing is a notch below the Japanese brands. But as a value flagship this is one of the most important TVs of 2026.
