The UR8 is the most affordable RGB Mini LED television Hisense makes, and it brings a technology that was flagship only a year ago into the reach of ordinary budgets. Like the pricier UR9 it lights the panel with separate red, green and blue diodes, which lifts color volume and lets Hisense claim full coverage of the demanding BT.2020 gamut. Peak brightness reaches up to 3,800 nits, so it handles a sunny room with ease.
It is well specified for the money. There are four HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K at up to 180Hz for PC gamers, variable refresh rate, Google TV, and a new Obsidian panel coating that keeps reflections down and blacks deep in a bright space. It sells from 55 up to 100 inches, so big screen buyers on a budget are well served.
There are limits that keep it out of flagship territory. Reviewers note that the processing and local dimming are a step behind the best, so it is not quite the OLED killer the specification suggests, and as a VA LCD it dims and shifts off axis. Pricing starts around 1,299 dollars for the 55 inch and 1,799 dollars for the 65 inch, with street prices already lower. For color and brightness per dollar, very little in 2026 competes.
