2026HisenseTV
Everything the U8 used to do, sold under the U7 badge, which makes this the most television anyone gives you for the money.

Hisense left the U8 out of its 2026 Mini LED range, moved the top of the range to the RGB backlit UR9 and UR8, and pushed everything the U8 used to do down into the U7. The result reached shops in March and is the most hardware anyone sells at this price.
The range carries up to 3,000 dimming zones on the largest panels, with the 65 inch getting a smaller share, alongside a quoted 3,000 nits, a native 165Hz panel and full bandwidth HDMI on all four inputs, which the Korean brands charge a good deal more to match. The 50 watt 2.1.2 speaker array has real bass, and Google TV runs cleanly on the newer processor. Sizes run from 55 inches to a 116 inch model that costs as much as a car.
What it cannot hide is that this is a VA panel driven hard. Tone mapping clips highlight detail rather than rolling it off, the automatic limiter dims the whole image when a white field fills the screen, blooming shows around subtitles and star fields despite the zone count, and color drains for anyone sitting off to the side. Google TV also carries more advertising than it used to. None of that changes the arithmetic: flagship hardware with mid range processing, for less than a mid range set from the Korean brands.
