Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Review

2025SamsungPhone

A 5.8mm marvel that proves a flagship can be this thin, and shows what that costs in battery and zoom.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung's answer to how thin a flagship can get: 5.8mm and 163 grams, with a titanium frame and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front, released on May 30, 2025. It keeps the essentials of the S25 line, a 6.7 inch QHD+ AMOLED at 120Hz, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with 12GB of memory, IP68, Galaxy AI and seven years of One UI updates, and it is a genuinely startling object in the hand.

The sacrifices are where you would expect them. There is no telephoto, only a 200MP main camera that crops to a 2x view and a 12MP ultrawide, and the 3,900mAh battery, small for a phone this size, charges at 25W. Reviewers found it lasted a day of moderate use but not much more, and that it warmed up under sustained load. At $1,099.99 it cost more than the Galaxy S25+, which has a bigger battery and a telephoto, and buyers noticed: it sold poorly, and Samsung's 2026 Galaxy S26 range arrived without an Edge.

The screen, the speed and the engineering earn A grades, and innovation is the reason it exists. The camera and the software are a B, the battery a C, and it is a B: a design statement first and an everyday phone second.
