RedMagic 11 Pro Review

The RedMagic 11 Pro is a gaming phone that also happens to be the cheapest way into Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power, at 749 dollars. It leans fully into performance, with a built in fan and what the company calls the first mass produced liquid cooling in a phone, plus shoulder trigger buttons and up to 24GB of memory. Under sustained load it holds its speed far better than thinner flagships that throttle, which is exactly the point.

The screen helps the cause. A 6.85 inch AMOLED runs at 144Hz and, because the selfie camera sits under the display, the front is a clean uninterrupted rectangle that looks great in games and video. Battery life is a genuine strength, with a 7,500mAh cell that outlasts almost everything and 80W charging to refill it fast.

The compromises are predictable. The cameras are mediocre, fine in good light but well behind real camera phones, and the RedMagic software is busy and less polished than mainstream skins, with shorter update support. This is not a phone built for photography or for people who want a tidy, minimal interface.

At 749 dollars it is a lot of raw hardware for the money. If you play demanding games, value long battery life and want maximum performance per dollar, the RedMagic 11 Pro is a bargain. If cameras and software polish matter to you, spend the same money on a more balanced phone.
