2019HuaweiPhone
The first periscope zoom on a mainstream phone, and the last Huawei a buyer outside China could use without thinking about it.

The P30 Pro shipped the periscope. An 8 megapixel sensor sits sideways in the body behind a prism, giving a true 5x optical telephoto, 10x hybrid, and a 50x digital mode that was a party trick but a real one: moon shots, signs across a valley, nothing else could do it in March 2019. The 40 megapixel main sensor moved to an RYYB colour filter, swapping green pixels for yellow to gather more light, and the night shots it took handheld were a tier beyond the Pixel 3.
Add a 20 megapixel ultrawide and a time of flight sensor for depth. The 4200 mAh cell with 40W SuperCharge, 15W wireless and reverse wireless charging was the best battery package of its year. Compromises: the curved 6.47-inch OLED is 1080p and 60Hz in the year the OnePlus 7 Pro went 90Hz and QHD, the Kirin 980 is a step behind the Snapdragon 855 in games, and EMUI 9.1 still fought you over notifications.
It was announced on 26 March 2019, seven weeks before the US entity listing of 16 May, so it kept Google's apps and Play services for life and was updated through EMUI 10, 11 and 12, though Android 10 was the last base it ran. Every Huawei after it shipped without Google outside China; this was the last one with no asterisk. Launched at 999 euros with no US release, about $1,130 converted.
