The Honor Magic 8 Pro is a flagship that tries to be excellent at everything, and largely succeeds. Its camera system pairs a 50MP main and a 50MP ultrawide with a 200MP periscope telephoto, giving it genuine reach and plenty of detail for both distant subjects and portraits. It sits comfortably among the better camera phones of the year without quite unseating the very top names.
Where it really flexes is endurance and charging. A 7,200mAh battery is huge, easily good for a day and a half of heavy use, and it refills at a rapid 120W wired and 80W wireless. Combined with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a bright 6.71 inch OLED at 120Hz, the day to day experience is fast and worry free.
Software is MagicOS on Android 16. It is capable and smooth, though the design leans heavily on iOS cues and some regions ship extra apps. Honor has improved its update policy, but it still trails Samsung, Google and Apple for long term commitments. Build quality is strong, with a proper rating for dust and water.
At roughly 1,199 euros in Europe, with limited official presence in the United States, the Magic 8 Pro is a lot of phone for the money. If you want big battery life, fast charging and a flexible camera in one package, and you are outside the phones sold widely in the US, it deserves a place on your shortlist.
