Google Pixel 10 Pro Review

2025GooglePhone

The most complete Pixel and the smallest yearly step at the same time: a 9 Pro with a better chip, a cooler back and magnets.

The Pixel 10 Pro looks like the 9 Pro and is the better phone in every measurable way, which is both its appeal and its problem. Tensor G5 is the first Google chip fabricated by TSMC, on the same 3nm N3E process as the A18 Pro and Snapdragon 8 Elite, rather than by Samsung, and it shows: the CPU is around a third faster, and the phone stays cooler through a long camera session, the heat that had dogged every Tensor before it.

It still trails the Snapdragon 8 Elite in games, and it carries over the Exynos 5400 modem from the 9 Pro. The Super Actua panel steps up to 3300 nits, the battery grows to 4870mAh for a full day with margin, wired charging rises to 30W, and Pixelsnap adds Qi2 magnets to the back so the phone finally snaps to a charger or a wallet the way iPhones have since 2020.

The camera hardware is carried over: 50-megapixel main, 48-megapixel ultrawide, 48-megapixel 5x periscope, 42-megapixel front. What changed is software. Pro Res Zoom uses a generative model to reconstruct detail out to 100x, and the results range from impressive to slightly invented, which Google marks with C2PA content credentials in the file. Camera Coach talks you through framing, Magic Cue surfaces details from Gmail and Calendar inside other apps, and Gemini is everywhere. Storage still starts at 128GB at $999. Android 16 ships with seven years of updates, to 2032. Nobody with a 9 Pro needs it; everyone else gets the best Pixel there has been.
