The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is Google's most polished foldable and, importantly, one of the toughest. It carries a full IP68 rating for dust and water, something most rivals still cannot claim, which removes a lot of the anxiety of owning a phone that bends in half. Opened up it reveals an 8 inch inner display, with a usable 6.4 inch cover screen for quick tasks.
Inside is the Tensor G5 with 16GB of memory, and a 5,015mAh battery that Google rates for more than a day. The cameras, a 48MP main with a 10.5MP ultrawide and a 10.8MP 5x telephoto, are good rather than class leading. On a device this expensive the smaller sensors are a slight disappointment next to a Pixel Pro slab, though the software processing narrows the gap.
Folded, it works as a normal if slightly wide phone. Unfolded, it is a small tablet that runs Android's large screen features well, with the same seven years of updates as the rest of the line. The crease is present but faint.
At 1,799 dollars it is a luxury, and the camera and battery keep it from being flawless. But for anyone who wants the big screen of a foldable with the fewest reasons to worry about breaking it, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the sensible choice.
