2019Manga
A spy, an assassin and a telepath fake a family, and all three like it more than they will admit.

The setup is a machine for jokes. Twilight needs a wife and a child for a mission, adopts a girl who can read minds and marries a woman who kills people for a living, and none of the three knows what the others are. Anya's telepathy is the pivot, because she knows everything and can act on almost none of it, and Endo gets a remarkable amount out of a six year old trying to steer adults without revealing why. The art is polished and unusually good at faces, and the espionage sequences are drawn with a restraint that makes the occasional action beat land hard.
The problem is momentum. The central mission barely advances, whole volumes pass in school comedy, and the series is plainly more comfortable with domestic chapters than with the political thriller it keeps promising. That is a fair trade for most readers and a real limitation for others. Where it succeeds completely is tone, since the warmth is unforced and the family becomes real to the reader well before any of them will say so aloud.
