Woodington Lake Golf Club Review
Seven thousand yards of real terrain, kept in condition most private clubs would envy.

The Legend earns its 145 slope honestly. Harry Allard routed 7,015 yards across genuinely big Simcoe County terrain, and the difficulty is structural rather than tricked up: forced carries over wetland, fairways that fall away toward trouble on the outside of doglegs, and bentgrass green complexes pitched enough to make a fifteen-footer from above the hole a real problem. From the tips it is one of the hardest public-access tests north of Toronto.
From the 6,087-yard whites it is merely excellent, which is the mark of a routing that scales properly. Conditioning is the giveaway that this is a club willing to spend money. Bent tee to green, mowing lines that still hold up in July, bunker sand consistent from the first hole to the eighteenth, and greens quick without ever going glassy. It is a hilly walk and most players will take a cart. At roughly a hundred dollars in peak season it is not cheap, but everything you pay for is visible on the property.
