Rolling Hills Golf Club (Classic) Review
A flat par 62 with small greens: fine for beginners and evening rounds, forgettable for anyone else.

The Classic is the shorter of the two courses at Rolling Hills, 4,010 yards over eighteen holes of par 62, and it is at least honest about what it is. The design is flat, open and unfussy, mostly short par fours with a run of par threes that ask for a wedge and nothing more. Small greens are the one real defence, and the better ones sit on slight rises that shrug a mishit away into a fiddly little chip.
There are no forced carries worth naming and almost no bunkering that changes a decision off the tee, so a round here rarely produces a hole you talk about afterward. Conditioning is variable in the way daily-fee properties often are: greens are usually the best surface on the site, fairways are acceptable, bunkers are the weak point. It walks easily and fast, which matters more here than anywhere. At thirty-five midweek it works as a beginner course or an evening loop.
