Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility Review
Forty five holes in Ajax, and the best of them would be a good course on their own.

Deer Creek is built to move a lot of golfers through a lot of holes, and the surprise is that the golf is good. The two eighteen hole courses, the South and the North, are laid out across rolling ground with a creek and several ponds in play, and the South course in particular has a run of holes through the middle of the round with elevation, water and real strategy that would grace a far more expensive club.
The greens are large and receptive. Conditioning is consistent rather than immaculate, which is the right target for a facility with this much traffic, and it holds up through the summer. The scenery is Durham farmland with wooded stretches, agreeable and unremarkable. The green fee is moderate and the sheer number of holes means a tee time is nearly always available, which for a public golfer in the eastern suburbs is a real virtue. It is a solid, well run, honest place to play.
