Centennial Park Golf Centre Review
Etobicoke's twenty-seven municipal short holes are exactly what a city course owes its taxpayers.

Centennial Park is honest about what it is: twenty-seven short holes on a reshaped hill in Etobicoke, three par-30 nines you can mix into whatever length your afternoon allows. Almost everything is a par 3, a handful of short 4s stretch the West nine, and nothing asks for more than a hybrid. That is the point. This is where west-end Toronto learns the game, and as a learning ground it is quietly excellent; the greens are genuine, kept at a fair municipal pace, the par 3s range from a flip wedge to a proper 190-yard shot, and the hilltop holes catch enough wind to teach flight control.
The views from the top, across the park to the skyline, are better than a municipal short course deserves. Conditioning is city-standard, worn where the traffic concentrates, and the design ambition is deliberately modest, which caps the grades where they sit. But priced around forty dollars with clubs for rent and no dress code to speak of, its value to the city is beyond argument.
