Five lightsaber stances, one enormous frontier planet, and the best Star Wars story anyone has told in a decade.

Fallen Order is a good game with a small idea of itself. Survivor throws that out. Koboh is a frontier planet with a saloon at the center of it that slowly fills with the people you rescue, and it works as a hub the way almost no action game manages, because going back there means something has changed. Combat expands from two stances to five, and the split between single blade, double blade, dual wield, crossguard, and the blaster pairing is the rare upgrade where every option earns its slot rather than padding a menu.
Traversal is faster, the bosses are better, and the Force powers finally feel like power. The story lands because it stops being a scavenger hunt: Cal's crew fractures, Bode is set up honestly enough that the turn holds on a second playthrough, and Dagan Gera gives the High Republic real weight on screen. The one thing nobody defends is how it ran at release, especially on PC, where frame pacing and stutter dogged strong hardware for months and drove the angriest coverage the game received.
Judged on ambition, scope, and what it does with the license, it clears the bar comfortably. The visuals grade carries that launch technical state rather than the art direction, which is superb.
