Two things at once: shoot with one hand, solve a grid puzzle with the other, and somehow it works.

Capcom has been showing this game since 2020, and the reason for the delay is legible in the design, because it asks you to do two things at once and both have to be good. Hugh shoots and jetpacks while Diana, the android child riding his back, hacks: you steer a cursor through a small grid puzzle to strip an enemy's defenses while dodging that same enemy in real time. It sounds like a phone game bolted onto a shooter and instead produces the most distinctive combat rhythm of the year, because solving a puzzle with something charging at you is a genuinely new kind of pressure.
The RE Engine makes the lunar station look expensive, and the relationship between Hugh and Diana earns its sentiment without pushing for it. The complaints are pacing, a middle stretch that reuses its arenas, and a plot about a rogue station intelligence that hits familiar beats. A new property worth the wait.
