The best swing mechanic in golf games, wrapped in a career mode that finally has courses and rivals worth replaying.

The swing is the whole argument and it is a strong one. The analog input reads tempo, path and face angle with enough fidelity that a pulled draw feels like your fault, and the new shot shaping controls let you plan a low runner under a branch and then actually execute it. Course design is the other pillar, because the licensed layouts read correctly from the tee and the elevation and wind modeling turn club selection into a real decision rather than a formality.
Tiger Woods arrives as both a playable pro and a career mode rival, which gives the season structure a spine it badly lacked. The rough edges are presentation ones. Commentary loops fast, crowd models are flat, and the lighting looks a generation behind the swing engine it serves. MyCareer's off course business is thin. None of that changes the fundamental point, which is that this is the most satisfying golf simulation on the market.
