The design insight is that poker hands are a scoring template, not a game, and once you can modify the template anything is possible. Jokers multiply, add, retrigger, transform suits and change what counts as a hand, and because they stack multiplicatively the difference between a decent run and a winning one is finding a combination that breaks arithmetic. Watching a pair of twos resolve into a score in the trillions is a legitimately funny payoff that no spreadsheet balance pass could have designed on purpose.

The interface deserves the credit here, animating each joker trigger in sequence so you can see the engine you built firing. There is no narrative and none is wanted; the CRT-styled presentation and single looping track are functional rather than beautiful. Made by one person under a pseudonym with no prior credits, which makes the balance across twenty-odd decks and eight stake levels the real surprise. Genuinely hard to put down.
